Mission and Vision Statement
The Fort Riley Youth Sports & Fitness Program is dedicated to being our patrons’ first choice by providing quality sports and fitness activities for children, ages 3-18.
The Fort Riley Youth Sports & Fitness Program supports the CYSS mission by aggressively pursuing its vision for the future.
The Fort Riley Youth Sports & Fitness Program strives to constantly improve and develop into one of the best programs in the Army. We provide our youth with an environment that is appropriate and consistent with basic growth and development characteristics of youth. The program emphasizes fun, maximum participation, rules knowledge, and physical conditioning. The Fort Riley Youth Sports & Fitness Program firmly supports the “Win-Win” philosophy of play, established by the Department of the Army.
YOUTH SPORTS & FITNESS (S&F)
Registration is required for all S&F sports and trips. To register, sign up at Parent Central, 6620 Normandy Dr., 785-239-9885.

Start Smart
Children and their parents interact together while learning sports skills to prepare for team sports. Start Smart is offered for Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Flag Football, Golf and Skill Development..
Individual Sports
Tennis, Racquetball, Billiards, Archery, Table Tennis, and Darts are among the many individual sports offered throughout the year.
CYS Outreach
Youth Sports and Fitness provides outreach activities for the Middle School – Teen Center (MS/T), School Age Center (SAC), Child Development Centers (CDC), and Family Child Care providers (FCC). At the MS/T and SAS, Youth Sports and Fitness offers intramural sports, indoor and outdoor fitness activities, and health promotion clinics. Fun Fitness activities are provided for CDC and FCC providers.
Special Events
Once a month Youth Sports and Fitness hosts Family Fitness Night. Families, parents and youth, interact and participate in fun, fast paced fitness activities.
Nutrition and Health Promotion classes, on current health information, are offered at SAC, MST, and FCC, as well as Parent Education classes at Bldg 6620. Several special events are held throughout the year, including Junior Olympics, Neighborhood Nights, and other national competitions and sports tournaments.
Saturday May 11, 2013 Fort Riley Youth Sports is hosting a Kids Run as a part of Armed Forces Month. FREE REGISTRATION.

Outdoor Adventure
A once a month program offered to 3-12 graders. Outdoor Adventure includes trips and activities throughout the year such as snow tubing, ice skating, canoeing, camping, and much more!
