The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has placed Milford lake under a Blue-Green Algae Warning. The Fort Riley Marina will be open but no direct water contact crafts can be rented. This includes canoes, kayaks, jet skies, tubes, water skies, etc. Warning signs will be placed at boat ramps and access points. Directions: I-70 to exit 295, turn North on hwy 77. Go 25 miles, turn left on hwy 82 (Wakefield) then go 1 mile west and turn left at Fort Riley Marina sign.

Authorized Users/ Safety Requirement
Only Department of Defense cardholders are authorized to rent boats.

ALL cardholders acting as an operator of any Fort Riley Marina motorized boat MUST have proof of a Kansas Safety Boaters Course Card or NASBLA approved course equivalent.

** All patrons renting or operation motorized boats or jet skis are required to show proof they have completed an approved safe boater’s class. 

***Jet ski rentals require an additional safety review and a mandatory test will have to be passed by all patrons. All are available on a first come, first served basis. No reservations will be accepted. Multiple boats will not be issued to one customer. Each boat rented must be to a Boater Safety Card holder. The customer who rents a boat may be held financially liable for items that are lost, damaged, or destroyed by causes other than fair wear and tear. Marina property is for personal use only to the person it is issued. Customers will not allow unauthorized persons to use or operate government property.

 

Rentals
All watercraft are trailed and can be loaded and unloaded by trained staff in order to make your visit more enjoyable.



 

The Marina has four pavilions that are ideal for parties, family functions, unit functions or just a day out with the family.  Each Pavilion has four picnic tables and a grill.  Pavilions can be reserved for special event for a $15 fee.

 

 

 

 

 

The Marina has an ADA accessible playground with many fun features.  It conveniently located between two pavilions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Milford Lake is the largest man-made lake in Kansas, with over 15,000 acres of water.  Some of the attractions you will find at Milford Lake include a nature center, camping, boating, swimming, hiking, wildlife watching, off- road vehicle trails and much more.  Milford lake is also home to many game fish including walleye, wiper, white bass, catfish, black bass and crappie.   So weather you want to kick back for a day on the beach with the family or catch a record breaking walleye you will want to make sure to visit Milford Lake.   Further information about Milford Lake can be found at:
